How do I go about hiring/retaining Soulette
Gray as my lawyer?
To hire/retain Soulette Gray as your lawyer, you
will need to provide her with an initial deposit of
funds to be placed in her trust account. This
deposit will be used to cover the cost of providing
you with legal services. From time to time, you
may need to provide additional amounts of money
to pay for ongoing or completed legal services.
In addition, you and Soulette Gray will sign a
document called a retainer agreement. This
agreement will identify your legal problem(s) and
what you are hiring her to do for you. It will also
set out how she will charge for her services as well
as the cost of disbursements. Disbursements are
charges for, most typically, long-distance calls and
photocopying. If you have not signed a retainer
agreement with Ottawa lawyer Soulette Gray and
have not provided an initial deposit of funds to her
in trust, then you have not hired/retained her.
